 Cape Cod Public Speaker Speaking

Cape Cod Workshops designed to improve your public speaking skills

by Tom Tuttle

Cape Cod Public Speaking classes presented by Tom Tuttle. Designed to help you become a better public speaker.

Learn how to become a better public speaker with Tom Tuttle's help.

Speaking at your job, before a group or committee, in front of TV cameras, or into a radio microphone can be really scary, especially if we rarely do it.

You've come to the right place to get help!
Now is the time to get out that message that you have always wanted to deliver but could not because fear was holding you back.

Tom has designed this special workshop to help you develop and fine-tune your public speaking skills.
It has also proven to be especially useful to newer, even experienced, speakers who struggle with fear and nervousness.

Over the years, Tom has witnessed hundreds of gifted students with the ability to write a great speech become paralyzed by so much fear they had trouble delivering it effectively.

Tom will help you find your most comfortable zone as a speaker.

This workshop can be especially helpful for those who are asked to speak at work, before civic or town committees, or business groups.

Cape Cod Public Speaker individual coaching available by appointment only.

Cape Cod Public Speaking classes can help you

  • Identify obstacles that are getting in your way as a speaker, and discover ways to work with (instead of against) your fears as they begin to surface.

  • Ways keep things simple when outlining and organizing your speech (using only ONE 3 x 5 note card!)

  • Where is your fear coming from?  Is threat real or perceived?  What is the worst thing that can happen when giving a speech?

  • How to make eye contact with your audience.  There are tricks to this  that will help you better connect with

  • your audience.  You will no longer have to rely on any old-fashioned methods, such as looking at the back of the room over your audience etc..

  •

  • Learn ways to use your breathing to help you to center, ground, focus and calm yourself.

  • Discover that fear is your friend, and the ultimate energizer; that with practice, channeling your fear can actually help you to perform better!

  • Practice presenting small extemporaneous speeches to help build your self-confidence

  • Learn the importance of taking a more casual approach to speaking before groups as a way to get comfortable

  • Learning that in the end, it's okay to be nervous and to show some vulnerability.  It can actually work in your favor and bring you closer to your audience than the overconfident speaker that is just going through the motions.

  • Learn to give yourself credit for having the courage to get up before a group.

  • Finding and developing your unique voice by practicing a series of exercises before the group.

  • Visual yourself as successful public speaker.  Remember, your audience wants you to succeed.  They want to hear what you have to say.

Cape Cod Public Speaking Student Testimonials

A CEO of a local well known home a garden center who recently completed Tom's workshop:

"Hi Tom,
I was just invited to be the Keynote Alumni speaker at my Fraternity's annual Northeast Convention luncheon next month in Portland Maine in front of 350 people!
(That reminded me I said I would send you a testimonial)
I took several deep breaths......and then decided I would say yes.

I  probably would have said no, if I had not recently taken your workshop on
getting more comfortable with public speaking.

Now that I have learned some valuable techniques, I will be able to relax more and feel confident in my presentation ability.

I view my speaking engagement as an opportunity to put the tips you taught me to practice."
